Christmas is the time of year when it’s officially okay to slow down, hang out with friends and family, and maybe indulge in some good food and drink, but that doesn’t have to be. a complete disaster for your fitness level. If you find yourself snowed in or just like to lay down, you might not want to venture to the gym, but you can still stay festive and fit, with this super simple HIIT Christmas workout from Fitness Trainer, Natalie Wilson.
“I post workouts for every fitness level, so you can do them at home or in the gym,” says Wilson, who is 33 and lives in Utah. “I like to share that exercise doesn’t have to be complicated or intimidating. My goal is to help others understand that fitness should be seen as a blessing rather than a chore. The beauty of this HIIT Christmas workout is that minimal equipment is required. If you don’t have a kettlebell, grab Santa’s gift bag or use a sugar packet. “The holiday season can be stressful and exercise can help you deal with that stress,” shares Wilson, whose ideal Christmas is spending time at home with her husband and three children. “I prioritize my workouts over the holidays even if my workout is a simple walk on the treadmill or a quick 20 minute HIIT workout at home. Make time to move your body over the holidays and your stress levels will decrease, you will feel better physically and mentally. Living a balanced life is very important and something that I promote a lot. It’s good to treat yourself a little and to be present with your family and loved ones at Christmas. You You can just get back on track once Christmas is over, but you can still move around a bit during the break.
Wilson’s fitness class members know she’s seriously qualified, with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and an ACE certificate in group fitness, but her workouts are exciting and high-energy. “I’m posting these workouts because I want people to see that the fitness results and, overall exercise benefit, is possible at home.
