3. Keep the skin hydrated

Moisturizers hydrate and lock in moisture in the top layer of skin cells. Humectants attract moisture, occlusive agents hold moisture in the skin, and emollients smooth the spaces between skin cells are all common ingredients in moisturizers. To lock in moisture and prevent dry, red, itchy skin, use the following methods:

  • Every day, take a shower or a bath for 5 to 10 minutes. Excessive washing can dry out the skin by removing the fatty layer.
  • Instead of hot water, use lukewarm water.
  • Use mild soaps as little as possible. Use a mild fragrance-free cleanser.
  • Using a cloth, gently pat the skin dry.
  • Wear clothes that don’t irritate your skin. If you’re wearing wool or other hardwearing materials, wear silk or cotton underneath.

4. Stop smoking

Smoking ages the skin on your face and other parts of your body. Smoking constricts blood vessels in the outer layer of the skin, reducing blood flow and depriving the skin of the oxygen and nutrients it needs to stay healthy. The strength and suppleness of the skin are provided by collagen and elastin. Smoking can lead to collagen breakdown and decreased collagen formation, which can decrease the skin’s natural flexibility.

5. Don’t Skip Your Restful Sleep

Getting enough beauty sleep will help you get rid of dark circles under your eyes and improve your skin tone to give flawless skin and it’s totally free. Adults should sleep between 7 and 9 hours a day, according to the National Sleep Foundation. Sleeping less than this period can be harmful to your health, especially your skin.. Obesity, immunological deficiency, diabetes and cancer have all been linked to chronic sleep deprivation, but research has shown that sleep quality can also affect skin function and aging. Your body goes into repair mode during deep sleep and rejuvenates skin, muscle, blood and brain cells.
