It is an apple that grows in China in winter. It is also known as winter apple, wax apple, ice apple, bingkai, and Chinese winter apple. This dish is popular in West Bengal. Remove the shells and mash the glazed apples into a fine paste. Mix them with jaggery, cinnamon and rice flour and make a fine paste. Take a saucepan and heat some ghee. Drop the batter one by one in the shape of a vada into the hot ghee and fry until the vadas turn golden brown on both sides. Serve your glazed apple vadas piping hot.

To make nungu kheer, peel off the shells and cut the glazed apples into cubes. Now take blanched almonds, cinnamon powder and milk and mix all the ingredients. Mix the mixture of almonds with the milk and cook this mixture over low heat for a few minutes. Once it begins to thicken, add the sugar and mix well. Finally, add candied apple cubes and let them sit in the refrigerator for some time.
